I like the new improved style. However, I find that the comments get buried. This was of course true with the old style as well. I would like to somehow see the comments more visible. Possibly a separate comments section that cross references all the posted comments.

I was amazed when I met you at the Cocoon in November, and happy to know things are going so well for both of you. Your response to Dave’s comments are “right on”! Unless you have GID or really try to communicate and understand one who has, it is impossible to comprehend it. You didn’t do it because you are selfish or inconsiderate of others, it’s who you are, and if you fight it, you will destroy yourself and those you love.

It’s not selfish, sad, or destructive…it’s who you are, and if you don’t try to resolve it by seeking help that’s even worse. I had GID all my life, and didn’t fully understand it until I went to therapist who diagnosed it over 37 years ago. At the time there was little understanding of the condition, but I was able to have the SRS 30 years ago and have had a wonderful life. I made a few mistakes along the way, and learned not to repeat them.

My biggest mistake was to believe the comments of people like Dave, and carried a lot of guilt for many years. Once I began to realize that I could not control my GID, and it was who I am, I came out of the shadows and became a happier and more whole person. Also, thirty years ago things were different. Up until a few years ago, I had been very stealth, and only allowed a few very close friends know me. Now, I have resolved those issues, and have a very health life. Most people still don’t know, but I’m not afraid if they found out. I am who I am, and I can’t change that, and won’t, based on the opinions of others…

My life hasn’t been perfect, but it is infinity better than it would have been if I had followed the advise of others. When I started the transition, I was an civilian employee of DOD, and when I retired was a senior project engineer at NASA, Ames research Center, Mtn. View, CA. I have received many awards, lead many important and successful projects, and a few scientific contributions. This would have never happened if I have not done what I did.

I hope you and your family have a wonderful holiday season, and you will visit me the next time you are in the Sacramento area.

Some of it is just personal preference wrt the palette, but it also scans more easily. I say keep it.

The uniform font size is a big improvement. The color palette is clean, refreshing, and even a bit wintery. One tiny suggestion on the font for “M()”: it reads to me as “MO” so if you want the parens to be more distinct, I’d try switching to something like Trebuchet that has a more slender glyph.
